Tourist Friendly?

A friend of mine found a decent deal on a trip but I don't know much about Haiti other than the name. LOL Is it a good place to visit? Are they reasonably friendly to the tourists?

It has been a while since I last went. I was working with a Professor so none of my stay was really a vacation. It wasn't too bad and the people there seemed relatively friendly.
