Black sand beach?

Years ago I was watching a show on the history channel about a secluded spot in Hawaii where the sand on the beach is black. They say it is hard to get to, but(then)is pretty private and not overrun by tourists.
Does anyone have an idea where in Hawaii this is located?

I used Google and found out that there are black sand beaches at Hawaii (Big Island), at Punaluu (Kau district), at Kaimu (Puna). I really don't know where these are since I haven't been to Hawaii.
