My granddad retired to a lime ranch in a San Diego suburb when I was 14. His wife passed the July before my September wedding and a few years later GD wanted to recapture a happy memory from his youth. He had been to Jalisco and loved it. So he sold the ranch and most of his possessions and bought an estate in Mexico.

I guess so. As happy as someone can be alone in a foreign country with his daughters and grandchildren thousands of miles away.
The lime ranch was pretty neat. All limes. His wife Uschi made the best key lime pie.
