Layover in Miami

I will be taking a trip in Miami and I will have an hour layover there. Do you think that's enough time to look around Miami?

Well, I wouldn't take the risk of leaving the airport. It takes about two and hours to get through customs. I think you should just come up a day before your flight and enjoy Miami.

I tried to get a day or two in Miami for my wife when she was flying though. However, that nearly doubled the price of the airline ticket! Yikes!
It turns out that she missed her connection because American Airlines flight from Bogota was late (though it didn't take her anything like 2-1/2 hours to clear immigration and customs.
Anyway, American put her up in a nice hotel (more expensive than we would have paid for) and 3 meals. So she got her day in Miami at American Airlines expensive!
With an hour or two connection I wouldn't try and leave the airport for anything.

OK, so how long did it take your wife to get through customs? I guess I will visit Miami at another time. Hey, at least you guys got something out of the deal. LOL!

I realized not that maybe I am taking to big of a chance with just a little bit more than an hour to spare. I just wanted to visit the mall.

My friend had a three hour layover and she went into the city to do a little shopping and grab lunch. Guess what? She didn't make it back in time but she was able to get another flight. LOL!
