Hi! The Dom Rep, as its admirers call it, is the utmost in tourism and tropěcal adventure. In this relatively small country one finds every different type of climate and natural scenery: beaches, of course! The very best. Mountains, pine forests and huge rivers, nice cool weather to get away from the heat. Almost desert-like areas, with dunes, cactus forests, iguanas, you name it. All very reasonable also, resorts where all is provided for a very modest sum. Also, look out for the "merengue festival", in late July and August, in which the "Malecon", the long seaside avenue in Santo Domingo becomes the longest disco in the world, with ten or twelve famous orquestras lined up on each side. Try the tastiest "Cuba libres", or "rum cokes" in more popular terms in the world. Take it from me, book a flight and you will not be disappointed!
