Copa Air now flies to San AndresBud (208.155.205.230) -
I noticed that Copa Air is not flying to San Andres. So it looks like make you can actually book a flight directly from the USA to San Andres. You might find it more interesting though to vacation in Pamana and take a side trip to San Andres from there. Both Copa and West Carribean Air fly to San Andres from Panama City.

Try a local travel agency. The internet airline sites seem to have trouble booking a flight directly. You may need to book a flight through Panama City, San Jose, Costa Rica or Bogota. Check the options for what gives you the best connections. Bogota will be further, but you may be able to avoid staying overnight on your way.

I see Copa's fares from Costa Rica are just a little more expensive than what West Caribbean Air used to charge. I hope you detect a bit of scarism there.I used to pay $235 round trip for West Caribbean Air for San Jose Costa Rica to San Andres and back. That price was even good for making the reservation one day before departure, and West Caribbean never charged anything for changing the tickets. If they were flying a jumbo jet they served spectactular meals too (and you have to realize the flight on a jet is less than 45 min). I'm not sure I would have ever made the trip had the price been what Copa is charging at the moment. That said, if you have the opportunity to visit San Andres, Colombia, take it regardless of the flight cost. Though you might save money by flying to Bogota and then on a domestic airline to San Andres such as Aero Republica (now owned by Copa) or Avianca.

I don't think that is too bad to pay $235 for a Jumbo Jet. I much prefer the jumbo jets compared to those "tiny" economy size planes.
